TBI One Love Survivor Angel Cordero "Cody" Garcia

Hello, my Son's name is Angel Cordero Garcia, or "Cordy" and he  was in a tragic accident on January 5, 2016. His vehicle was struck by a driver who was drag racing at 119MPH. He suffered from broken bones and his brain lacked oxygen for about 30 minutes. Emergency services were forced to use the jaws of life to get him out of his vehicle. He was put on a ventilator and his brain pressure was monitored continuously in the ICU. Doctors informed us that he was in a comatose state almost immediately upon arriving to the hospital and his family was told that he more than likely wouldn't survive the accident.

But Cordy had always been a fighter. Afternoon four months of being in a coma, he regained consciousness and had to start over. He has lost the ability to walk, talk, and do even the most basic functions. And understandingly, he was angry at first. Before the accident, he was at the prime of his life - he was days away from trying out for a regional soccer team, and 2 classes from achieving his Bachelor’s degree. But with time, he realized that this unexpected twist of faith was a second chance for him to get things right. He expressed the desire to live a kinder and humble life.

He's currently at a Brain Injury facility in San Antonio, TX where he's known for his funky socks and his catch phrase "Never Tired!"

Thank you for letting us join this Family, please pray for us!
