Hello, my name is Chloe and I am from New Zealand.
I'm a marathoner nutritionist that is in training, but I had an extremely really bad car crash the morning of my 22nd birthday on April 17th in 2008 that changed my life forever.
I was going to take the 6am run. I don't really remember anything else. According to special crash investigation, something came and I swerved for some reason.
Just over an hour later my father was notified by a knock on the door from two policemen.
They told him Chloe had been in a very serious car accident. He asked, 'How bad was it?' They said really bad. We class it at Level 9 - level 10 is deceased.
I was was in a coma with a traumatic brain injury. Four days after the accident, my parents were told she would live.
Now, after 8 years of recovery, I have been able to stand up for the first time!
Never give up!
