Hello fellow Survivors, my name is Daniel and I am from Tuscaloosa Alabama.
Back in April of 2021, I was a passenger in a car accident and ended up being the only survivor. All my organs dropped and I was incapacitated 3 times.
I had a few ribs that were fractured and more than likely punctured my lung and caused me to have an impiema to my right lung which is a bleed that got infected. I was diagnosed with a TBI brain bleed on my front right lobe of my brain.
I was in a coma for a month with no one knowing if I was gonna wake up or not. I ended up awakening and remaining in the hospital for a total of two months. After this injury I ended up learning to walk and drive again. I went through months of physical, speech, and occupational therapies.
Now after my therapies, and being out of work for 6 months, I was able to return to my previous work position as an assistant manager at Lowes Home Improvement! I’ve been back to work now for 2 1/2 months and doing great. I’m currently involved in a study for TBI patients who are now driving. I have a camera in my car that monitors me, reaction times, and stopping and going.
