Hello, my name is Jillian, my life changed on March 4th, 2013 after I was in a very bad car accident 3/4/13 and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury from that.
I have had multiple concussions from work, sports and multiple car accidents that have caused a lot problems!
I don’t remember anything of the car accident since I was unconscious for a short period of time after. I feel pains on a side of my head that I assume are from where my head slammed on the car. I have cognitive, memory, balance, mood, and vision issues, but I have gotten better since 2013 even though I still deal with a lot of problems.
I didn’t have the money to fight for my disability or family support, so I was forced back into work but I do it so my 5-yr. old Daughter has a roof over her head. The worst symptoms I deal with is daily Chronic Pain/Migraines and light and noise sensitivity.
My pain/headaches are 24/7 and stays at around 8-9 on a scale of 1-10, which is the most difficult symptoms to deal with since it interferes with Cognition, Memory, Mood, Exercise and just functioning as I normally would.
I have had a few surgeries to help with my Nerve Damage and to try and help with my pain/headaches. I still haven’t been able to do vision, Speech Therapy for money reasons and because the pain/headaches are still bad.
My support has always been from support groups from other TBI or Trauma Survivors that I can relate to and that can help me the same I can help them!
Thank you, for letting me join this Helpful Family!
